DATE WITH PROTECTION

Lack of accountability

Online dating is often a frustrating experience. Dating apps have a way of bringing the worst out of people: catfishing, ghosting, and breadcrumbing are only a few examples of dating violence that cause frustration and disappointment.

Honest people invest much time and emotional energy into digital dating but are not consistently rewarded for their efforts.

Even the best online dating apps don’t do enough to keep people accountable for their actions

Today iris is changing that

Introducing trust rating

We want iris to become the world’s most trusted dating community. Our AI dating app is here to change how people date online by creating an incentive system to reward our members for being honest and transparent about their intentions.

The foundation of our incentive system is Trust Rating, a scoring mechanism that measures the contribution each person makes to the iris community.

Users that invest time to create a thorough, compelling profile and who are respectful in their interactions with other users receive higher scores. Jerks, f**kboys, and sugar babies get lower scores.

Online dating safety tips

Don’t share your personal information

Never give someone you haven’t met in person your personal information, including your: social security number, credit card details, bank information, or work or home address.

Don’t respond to requests for financial help

No matter how convincing and compelling someone’s reason may seem, never respond to a request to send money. If they ask for money, it's a scam. If you do get such a request, report it on the app immediately.

Never send intimate photos of yourself

Even if you feel comfortable with someone, it's possible they could be a scammer or con artist trying to blackmail you into sending money.

Chat on the app

iris has user guidelines for behavior and a robust reporting system that other apps may not have. It's better to use the in-app chat function over other methods before you really trust someone.

Report suspicious users

We have a customer service that works 24/7 to keep fake profiles out of the system. If you ever see something suspicious, please don’t hesitate to report it to us!

When meeting in the real world

Tell a friend or someone where you’re going. For your first date meet in a public place. Don’t rely on your date for transportation.
